the nkonya kadjebi community
Access to clean and safe drinking water is a fundamental human right essential for health, dignity, and development. However, the residents of Nkonya Kadjebi in the Biakoye District of Ghana’s Oti Region face significant water access challenges.
With a population of 1,400 people and only one potable water source, most residents travel several kilometers daily to collect water.
This proposal seeks financial support about $ 7,000 to construct a
durable and sustainable water storage and distribution system to meet the community's needs and align with global standards for water access and quality.
The proposed project involves the construction of an 8,000-liter water storage system, including a reinforced concrete platform and three taps to ensure simultaneous access.
This initiative will provide the community with reliable, safe, and physically accessible water, addressing pressing challenges and improving the quality of life for over 1,000 residents.
